What About Brian

What About Brian is an American dramatic television series created by Dana Stevens and co-produced by J.J. Abrams' company Bad Robot Productions. The series premiered on April 16, 2006 on ABC, as a midseason replacement. The show regularly airs on Monday at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT in the United States.

On May 16, 2006, ABC renewed the series for its second season, notably making it the only new series to be picked up by the network from the 2005-2006 television season, despite it being the final new series introduced by ABC during the season. The series returned October 9, 2006, with a full 22-episode season confirmed by November 10, 2006. The second season order was subsequently scaled back to 19 episodes by the network.

It was announced on January 5, 2007, that Tiffani Thiessen would join the cast playing Natasha Drew, Dave's new boss. She made her first appearance in the February 19, 2007 episode.

What About Brian ended its second season on March 26, 2007. The fate of this show will be revealed on or before the upfronts on May 15. Rumors began circulating in April 2007 that the struggling The CW Network would pick up the show, however due to licensing costs this is unlikely.

What About Brian co-star Amanda Detmer has been cast in new CBS sitcom pilot 1321 Clover, putting the show's future in doubt. Detmer's duties on Clover will presumably come second to the renewal of Brian.
